Antara has taught students from as young as the age of four, to over sixty! She was a senior instructor at the Chhandam School of Kathak from 2008 – 2014. During that time, she also trained the pre-professional Chhandam Dance Youth Company – an audition-based pre-professional youth dance company of next generation Kathak artists.

She has presented lecture demonstrations and master classes throughout the U.S. and India in K-12 schools, universities, and multi-disciplinary conferences including Stanford University, University of California Santa Cruz, San Francisco State University, Iyengar Institute of Yoga (San Francisco) the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, Kidspace Children’s Museum, Young Audiences of Northern California, Kohler Arts Center (Sheboygan, Wisc.), and Montalvo Arts Center (Saratoga, Calif.) to name a few.

Committed to educating, promoting, and thus preserving the art of Kathak, Antara continues to teach through Master classes, residencies, workshops, as well as private & semi-private classes. She has started teaching beginners through her dance company Antara Asthaayi Dance and mentors intermediate and advanced students to become solo kathak artists.
